Donald Trump avoids another infamous Minions moment at White House Halloween event following last rally before midterms

What the coverage shows

Both outlets cover the White House Halloween event and link it to Trump’s last rally before the midterms. The Hill keeps the focus on the scheduled celebration and Trump’s travel from South Carolina, while The Independent foregrounds the contrast with a previous Halloween episode, saying in its extract that candy went into trick-or-treaters’ bags instead of on their heads.
