Democrat David Crowley makes history as Wisconsin’s first Black governor
Democratic Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley defeated Rep. Tom Tiffany after a campaign linking the Republican to Trump's tariffs and tax bill.
What the coverage shows
Fox News and CBS News both focus on David Crowley’s win in Wisconsin, but they frame it differently. Fox News is the only outlet here to foreground the “first Black governor” angle and adds campaign context about Crowley linking Tom Tiffany to Trump’s tariffs and tax bill. CBS News instead highlights Crowley’s unusual path through the Democratic nomination, noting that he dropped out of the primary and then jumped back in.
