Trump says he could use "tremendous powers" if Democrats win
President Trump remained optimistic about GOP chances ahead of polls closing: "We have a good chance. But we're not going to be embarrassed."
What the coverage shows
Most outlets focus on the same basic result, projecting that Democrats have won or are poised to win control of the House. NBC News and CBS News both frame that result as setting up a clash with Trump over oversight and legislation, while The Guardian US uniquely emphasizes the party’s victory amid Republican redistricting efforts. Fox News stands apart by foregrounding Trump’s comments about using the veto, and CBS also separately highlights his confidence before polls closed.
