Trump backs Ramaswamy ad featuring rival Amy Acton’s estranged mother
Trump advises the Republican gubernatorial candidate to keep running the controversial advertisement.
What the coverage shows
All the coverage centers on Trump’s defense of Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad and on the fact that it features Amy Acton’s estranged mother. NBC News and BBC foreground Acton’s condemnation, while NBC also notes DeWine’s call to pull the ad and CNBC highlights bipartisan criticism. CBS frames the story as GOP division, CNN emphasizes Trump’s “fair game” line, and only Reason presents it mainly as Ramaswamy defending the ad.
